Their pizza is to die for. Make sure you 7514734 hold off on eating all day / before coming here because its worth it. Their bread sticks came out hot and soft - just the way i like 'em! They don't hold back on any of the toppings. The pizza was heavenly ... every bite was full of such much flavor. We had the Monte Cristo ...UGH that fontina cheese. Its not often you find a pizza with fontina cheese (for me, at least) so this really took the pizza to a whole new level.7ea99ed1b6714702bd5343b786c98bee

My family and I were in Bloomington, IN for an annual bike ride called the Hilly Hundred. After riding our bikes almost 60 miles on Saturday, we had worked up quite the appetites and were ready for some good food! We called an hour or so ahead of arriving to put our name down, which I would highly 7514734 recommend doing since there is only about 25 seats in this place. They do offer outside seating, but with the weather cooling off I think it would be uncomfortable sitting out there.

We started off our meal with two servings of the soup of the day, which was a creamy parsnip potato soup. It was rich and buttery...a.k.a. delicious. The soups were served alongside wonderful wedges of homemade bread. It was crusty & perfect for slopping up any leftover soup. We also got a small plate 7514734 of chorizo raviolis as an appetizer. I am not sure everything that was in these little gems, but whatever it was...it was tasty!

For our main dishes, we shared the braised beef cheek, mango chicken tamale, lamb papardelle, and seared scallops. The scallops stole the show, but nothing was a disappointment. The scallops were perfectly seared and served alongside tri-colored carrots that were decadent (just like the scallops!). I am not sure how the carrots were prepared, but I could've eaten a whole plate of just those. Both the beef cheeks and the lamb pappardelle were very appropriate for 7ea99ed1b6714702bd5343b786c98bee a fall meal because they were nice and meaty. Both incorporated super tender meat with a punch of flavor. The tamales were pretty good...they were less than half the price of all of our other main dishes so they were much more basic, but tasty nonetheless. A good choice if you are looking for a lower budget meal, if you can though...splurge on the scallops!

Last but not least, dessert: salted caramel 7514734 chocolate shortbread, chewy walnut/coconut bar, and nutty brownie w/ homemade vanilla ice cream. I listed these in order of my preference. I could have skipped the brownie (it was good, but pretty standard), gone with or without the walnut/coconut bar, and eaten the shortbread three times over. The salted caramel chocolate shortbread was the perfect balance of sweet & salty thanks to a dusting of sea salt. The desserts were moderately priced and were fairly small, which was a nice touch because I was already full from our entrees but wanted a little taste of something sweet.7ea99ed1b6714702bd5343b786c98bee
