As our trip was coming to a close, we had two days left in Miami to hang out! We decided since 1653156752 weather was amazing that we would hang out in South Beach grab some food, drinks and go lay out at 1653156752 beach after. Since we were in Miami we knew we wanted some Cuban food but where to go. This is when we found 1653156752 cafe. We parked at a nearby lot (since parking in south beach is crazy) and walked a couple of blocks. Entering into this place we were greeted, asked how many and were told we would be seated as soon as our table was clean. This place is on 1653156752 older side (complete with counter seating) our table was close to 1653156752 kitchen, which was awesome but squishy at 1653156752 same time. Our drink orders were taken and we were given a chance to look over their full but simple menu. One of 1653156752 girls and myself ordered 1653156752 ox tail stew and 1653156752 other two ordered Cuban sandwiches. 1653156752 food took awhile to be delivered, and our ox tail stews were sent to 1653156752 table with no rice or plantains... our server said "it'll be 2 minutes for 1653156752 rice." We began nibbling on 1653156752 ox tail, but after 15 minutes, there was still no rice or plantains. We hailed 1653156752 server down and he said it'll be another 5 minutes for rice and got annoyed with us and asked us what rice we wanted (between yellow and white), and 10 minutes later, he hastily dropped off 1653156752 rice. 1653156752 ladies and I were on a budget but at 1653156752 same time, wanted to eat somewhere..."nice".... and this place was 1653156752 compromise. Located on 1653156752 corner of a street, tables lined 1653156752 sidewalk which makes for a perfect dinner on a warm summer evening. A friend who came with us said they were going to hit up all 1653156752 mom and pop spots in Miami, but after eating here at Puerto Sagua, they ate here everyday. 1653156752 service was fast and 1653156752 food came out quickly. 1653156752 menu is fairly large so if you can't decide, just go with 1653156752 roasted pork. 1653156752 locals also said their sandwiches are very popular. I didn't get a chance to try it, but look forward to exploring 1653156752 menu some more on my next visit to Miami. This place. I can't even put into words how many times I've thought about my meal here since my last bite. We were in town for one night before heading out on a cruise, so we asked our Uber driver what we HAD to do in that short period of time. First suggestion: Puerto Sagua. After a quick, delirious check in to our hotel, we headed out to eat what we were told is 1653156752 best authentic Cuban around.
