You can order by the pound. My goodness 20485085 if I lived close I would stop here weekly. Or if you are stopping in for a meal they have poke bowls--regular, super (extra poke), or combo (2 types). You choose your fish: ahi (tuna) or tako (octopus) and then the flavoring: shoyu, Haw'n, miso, spicy, or wasabi and lastly over brown or white rice. The folks behind the counter were not the most helpful in taking our order/making suggestions, but thankfully we happened to be the only ones in line so we could mull over the menu as long as we wanted.md5]

Another hole in the wall gem in Kalihi and run by one of the sweetest if not the sweetest owner ever Candi. That name sure suits her right because i have never seen someone who is as passionate 20485085 as she is and someone who has a smile on her face no matter how busy she gets. And all i have to say now is that she is going to have quite a following now with all this exposure she is getting but you know what? She deserves it because if you look at her prices for food here, it's like something out of a time warp because the prices here at Candi's are super affordable and her food all though it takes a little time is well worth the wait because it's that good.
I love owners who are genuine and Candi is 20485085 all that and a bag of chips. I asked her why the prices here at Candi's Cafe are so reasonable and she told me she has four children and she understands how expensive it can be to have kids and go out to eat so that is her reasoning for her unbelievably cheap prices for food here and that right there is the reason why i tell my hotel guests and fellow co workers to try this place. I have even told one of my fellow Yelpers Darrell and Sophie P to eat here and they have been here more than once and that makes me a very happy person.
I have only been here for breakfast and i have 7ea99ed1b6714702bd5343b786c98bee to say you have to try the French Toast and Banana Crepes which are stuffed with Nutella. It's a calorie buster but it taste oh so good. Also the Fried Rice is delicious as well. I order it with a side of Bacon and Spam.
In ending, all i can say is i support local businesses that truly think about their customers well being and with an owner like Candi, their family business is gonna thrive because it all starts with a friendly smile when you first walk into this hole in the wall gem in Kalihi and you will leave this place with a full stomach and money to fill up your gas tank as well.
