Lock a rate in by 1-29-2015

The table shared the Lumpia and the Roti Prata 18131839 (they had also ordered the Martabak but I wasn't able to sample any of it since there wasn't enough to go around). The lumpia is your typical skinny version of an eggroll and was decent. I really enjoyed the Roti Prata. It was nice and thin as well as crispy. The Sea Bass for some reason was the dish that took the longest to come out. When they set it down, the dish had a strong fishy smell (an indicator that it's not fresh). The fillet was also very small. Definitely get an order of rice to get you more full.7ea99ed1b6714702bd5343b786c98bee

Indo is difficult to find, almost as if it were hidden in the middle of a tropical rain forest. From what I recall there is actually a decent 18131839 amount of brush and it doesn't help that the exterior is composed of wooden panels and a wooden porch. It disappears completely from the busy El Camino Real, on a cross street so tiny one would doubt its existence outside of Google maps.

The interior has the same mysterious ambiance, shrouded in darkness, pulsed with sophisticated rhythmic music, and accented 18131839 with exotic Asian decor. Interestingly the patio is much brighter and happier (as a patio should be), at least before sunset when it is lit with strings of lights in tiki fashion.

I was excited about the extended happy hours, but I was not so happy to find out that all HH food must be ordered at the bar and is not applicable to patio seating. So beware: no HH appetizers at the patio :((( However 7ea99ed1b6714702bd5343b786c98bee they still give you a HH menu but for drinks only--such shrewdly brilliant profit-maximizing business tactics: luring you to get drinks but knowing you are obligated to get food.

I was very indecisive because a lot of the food was either dishes you could find at Indonesian/Thai restaurants (like nasi 18131839 goreng and the gamut of stir-fried noodles), or they were too expensive and restricted to upper echelon Palo Altans (like the $40 lobster pad Thai... that could buy me a week's worth of lunch).

I settled on the CHICKEN BUMBU RUJAK (half boneless, 38 north free range organic chicken, tomato chili lemongrass sauce, pea shoots salad, $16): it was something I hadn't seen before at Southeast Asian restaurants. It came out quite flavorful and unique. I liked the complexity of the 18131839 herbs and spices for the sauce which was almost like a puree, and the endives mixed in added an interesting bitterness and contrasting texture. The chili oil was a little excessive though, making it excessively greasy and spicy. My entree therefore lasted me two meals because it was so rich and intensely spicy that I felt like I was going to get a stomach ache if I ate all of it. I suggest getting this with the brown rice (organic, I might add) to appropriately dilute the heaviness/spiciness.

We started off the night with some gunner level continuous water refills, but after we finished eating it abruptly died down to nothingness.7ea99ed1b6714702bd5343b786c98bee
