The latte macchiato was smooth with a lovely 3922172 espresso base. Never one to pass on trying croissants, I had the vanilla cr??me croissants. They are definitely popular as when we came in, they were all out of the pistachio and chocolate croissants. Ambiance: Your usual standard cafe with sidewalk seating as well as inside. There's an upstair section kinda hidden must look up to see people clacking away on laptops. Whole place brings that half old school and half modern era. You know you're in a good cafe when you see glass tubes with metal 3922172 end spouts filled with beans. Regular cafe counter set up display case with desserts, salads, fruit & yogurt, san pellegrino soda/sparkling water, and paninis. Flourish with off white yellow and burgundy color it matches they setting and coffee bags. It's a small place but not noisy you hold Ann average conversation places like that are hard to come by, for the size.
Staff: Two guys running the place could be 7ea99ed1b6714702bd5343b786c98bee brothers or simply coworkers. Now here's the best part of it all. Both of them are 100% Italian English spoken with heavy accent. Nevertheless they understood me when I spoke to them in Italian, kinda taken by suprise. Both helpful very knowledgeable about their beans. Gave me a sample of their signature coffee.
Cleanliness: Grade A, a few crumbs here and there but I understand.
Eats/Drinks: Free range organic chicken pesto panini and 12oz french press signature brew. The panini was just perfect not too big or small pesto sauce slather generously on both side of bread taste of fresh ground 3922172 peppers sprinkle on chicken. The pesto is the real deal here none of that coloring green color sold in bottle at grocery store. The coffee is strong too comparable to Peets roasted and deliver from Italy. It leaves you wanting another cup or so at least that's what it did to me.
Products/Services: Coffee, beans (whole/grounded), half sandwiches, salad, pastries, danishes, affogato, imported goods, desserts, chocolates, novelties, hot/cold drinks, juices, fruit tarts, cake slices, macarons, 3922172 paninis. Free wi-fi.
Punch Lines: Downtown Palo Alto, high end specialty shops, restaurants/cafes, moderate pricing, real Italians staff, warm cozy feeling, sidewalk seating for people watching. Walking distances from Cal-Train, city hall, library, social services center.
