GD really hit all the marks for a superlative restaurant. Amazing service, delicious food and impeccable ambiance. The maitre ds are all super 5636277 knowledgeable about the menu, can give their recommendations for the combinations of prix fixe menus and constantly come around making sure you're taken care of. Also, they're very patient considering we were at the table a half hour after they closed.

Food-wise, these were my favorites:
- The foie gras. Holy crap, I wish I'd had it sooner. I'm told 5636277 it's tough to screw up a foie gras dish so take this recommendation with a grain of salt. Nevertheless, the dish was like eating savory gelato. The liver was so tender, yet crispy. Thankfully, it was paired with caramelized red onions and pears to cut the heaviness of the foie gras with sweetness and acid. So good.

- Artisinal cheeses. I know it seems strange, but the cheese 7ea99ed1b6714702bd5343b786c98bee they offer are unlike anything you've probably experienced. Lovely strong cheeses paired with fruit and nutty bread. Definitely suggest this in combination with some heavier dishes. Also, they were definitely spot on with their recommendations.

Also great dishes:
- Venison. Never had it, love the slightly gamey flavor with a tender texture. Really nice with the chestnut spaetzle, clementines 5636277 and cabbage. Great complement of meaty, nutty and fruity flavors.

- Duck breast. Sooo tender. Combined with duck hash and some 'chokes. The hash was kinda regular by itself, but together, they was super ducky and delicious.

- Oysters. Glazed oysters were nice, 5636277 especially with the caviar. But, the dish was really small and the lettuce sauce didn't really do anything for me.

- Grilled pineapple with crepes. Awesome caramelized taste with great acid and nice contrast in texture. I don't know if it's really worth the extra $6 though.

My group got drinks as well, and they 5636277 were great! I had a good Sazerac so I recommend that for you, too.

They overheard that it was my friend's bday so he also got a ganache cake and some bite-size dessert pastries. Everything was great so extra points for service.7ea99ed1b6714702bd5343b786c98bee
