Let's disclose this up front: This looks like a very popular restaurant and you should expect to wait for a seat. This was highlighted for us going 7811855 there on a Friday night. We were there from 6:30pm and waited an hour for seats at the bar. But, it was really no problem. We could still order drinks and even some items from the menu, to help pass the time while standing in line.
We ordered the Pimientos de Padron - charred 7811855 green chillis with salt flakes - we had this one while we were waiting for our seats. The salt made it, in my opinion. A nice snack to have with a beer.
I love the format. You sit up at the bar which runs the length of the restaurant and all the activity is happening in front of you. There 7ea99ed1b6714702bd5343b786c98bee are no tables taking up space. You order dishes and share them with your dining companions. Don't worry if you have underestimated: you can always order extra dishes.
One of the servers runs through the specials with you, explaining what they all are. We got two of these: Carabinero - a huge dark red prawn, which my wife had for herself. They say the head is the tastiest part. I snapped up the suckling pig, as soon as I learnt it was the last one. This was good, but I think 7811855 I am more of a fan of pork cooked other ways. It was quite a lot of pork for one person, in the context of everything else we had ordered, but I managed it.
We had a couple of dishes from the permanent 7811855 menu. The octopus with capers is one of the more popular dishes in the restaurant: I remember seeing it everywhere. Good taste and I loved the freshness of the octopus. The classic tortilla is like a rosti. The egg was a bit runny when it came out, which I think is how it is supposed to be, but we needed it to be more cooked. They had no issue with doing this for us. This was filling and a good comfort food.
We rounded off the meal with two desserts: the crema catalana - like a creme caramel but a cinnamon flavour, and the santiago tart, almond flavour with marmalade. These were fine but the savoury dishes which preceded them were better.7ea99ed1b6714702bd5343b786c98bee
