REYKJAVIK, Iceland -- A top representative says the Palestinians won't stop pressing
the U.N. Security Council until it accepts their bid for full U.N.
membership.Speaking in Iceland on Thursday, Palestinian Foreign Minister Riad Malki says if
the Palestinians are rejected in their current bid for statehood, they will
just keep trying."A fourth time, we might lose, and a fifth time
we might lose, and we'll go again until we reach a point
when we will win," Malki says.The United States has threatened to veto
the Palestinian bid, saying a negotiated settlement with Israel should come first.Last
month, Iceland became the first Western European country to recognize Palestine as
an independent state. Malki was slated for more talks in Iceland on
Friday.
IRWINDALE, Calif. Police said three are dead, including the suspected shooter,
in California office attack.A gunman stormed into an office of the Southern
California Edison utility Friday and shot a man and woman before killing
himself, police said.The building was quickly locked down and dozens of people
were seen streaming out with their hands raised. Two nearby schools also
were locked down but no one on the campuses was hurt."One male
gunman shot one female, one male and then apparently took his own
life," Police Chief Dennis Smith told reporters.The conditions of the two people
he wounded were not immediately known. There was also no immediate word
on what prompted the gunfire.The utility company office is in a complex
of buildings that also includes a business called California Lighting Sales.Cindy Gutierrez,
the controller for that business, said employees there didn't hear any shots
fired and didn't realize anything was amiss until building management a
McQueary, but that McQueary never reported seeing anal intercourse or other
sexual conduct. He said he recalled McQueary reporting wrestling or "horsing around."Schultz
said he remembered McQueary and Paterno describing what the younger coach saw
only in a very general way."I had the impression it was inappropriate,"

king of wrestling activity and maybe Jerry might have grabbed a young
boys genitals."Under cross-examination, McQueary said he considered what he saw a crime

and Catherine Mullany were each given three consecutive life sentences Friday by
the Antigua High Court, Sky News reported.Kaniel Martin and Avie Howell were
found guilty of shooting the couple, from south Wales, just two weeks
after they had married in July 2008.Catherine Mullany, a doctor, died instantly
after being shot in the back of the head. Her husband, a
physiotherapy student, survived for a week.The couple, both 31, had come to
the Caribbean island for their honeymoon and were shot at their beach
side resort during a robbery.Martin, 23, and Howell, 22, were also convicted
of the murder of local shopkeeper Woneta Anderson in almost identical circumstances.The
pair had faced the possibility of the death penalty for the killings.
