The only unimpeachable maxim to abide by in time management is to not
waste any; oh, and get enough sleep. Other than that, it's up to the
individual. I listed what I see people doing wrong, but it does not
necessarily hold that doing the opposite of all those things will yield
effective time management.

Could you be more specific? What deficiecies do you see in study
skills in MIT freshmen? (I have my own ideas, but I'll wait.)
