of liver failure at a Los Angeles hospital with his wife, Kathy,

guitarist had recently begun writing songs with the band in anticipation
of recording a new album later this year. He had been slowly
recovering from what was believed to be a spider bite that nearly
cost him his arm after he failed to seek immediate treatment."The music
industry has lost a true trailblazer, and our deepest sympathies go out
to his family, his bandmates and fans around the world who mourn
his untimely passing," said Neil Portnow, president and CEO of the Recording
Academy, in a statement.Robinson-Fitzgerald said it's believed the spider
bite contributed to the failure of Hanneman's liver, but it is unclear
whether an autopsy will be scheduled. No funeral arrangements have been

U.S. officials said didn't think their largest bomb could penetrate the
bunker where centrifuges enrich the material needed for nuclear bombs.According
to the website of defense contractor and maker Boeing, the MOP includes
a GPS navigation system and more than 5,300 pounds of explosives. It
measures 20 feet long and is designed specifically to attack hardened concrete
bunkers and tunnel facilities.In March, Pentagon officials are spoke publicly
about the MOP bombs, which are from Boeing and designed to fit
exclusively with the B-2 and

lovers of the paranormal who've grown weary of waiting for the Loch
Ness monster to reappear, here's a new "monster" to feast your eyes
upon.Three college students were filming a short movie as a class project
at Lough Foyle, a large tidal estuary in County Donegal, Ireland, when
something very odd moved through the water in front of them, UPI
reports."Looks like we have our own Loch Ness monster!" Conall Melarkey,
a student at North West Regional College in Derry, Ireland, wrote in
his posting of the video clip to YouTube. [Loch Ness, Chupacabra &
More: Our 10 Favorite Monsters]"I have absolutely no idea what it is,
but it looked amazing!" Melarkey wrote.The shaky, 59-second video shows
a dark object of indeterminate size moving slowly along the surface of
Lough Foyle before diving or sinking slowly beneath the waves.Some observers
have speculated that the object could be a large fish, a whale,
a dolphin or some other marine animal (Lough Foyle is open to
the North Atlantic).Besides the infamous Loch Ness monster of Scotland,
reports of large, lake-dwelling creatures have come from other parts of
the world, including the mysterious "Devil of Lake Labynkyr" in Siberia.Nessie
achieved international fame when, in 1934, a now-famous photograph was published
showing a large animal with a serpentine head and neck. The photo,
taken by a London surgeon named Kenneth Wilso
ted was a
nuanced and careful response from Obama and his diplomatic and national
security team. Obama deplored terror, but made clear that the attack was
the result of a cheesy video about the founder of Islam, Mohammed.
"Spontaneous" was the word of the week.As Romney tried to find his
feet on the subject, Republicans began to accuse Obama of laxity. How
could the U.S. not be prepared for an attack on the anniversary
of 9/11? How could the consulate in a city known to be
a home to Islamist radicals be so poorly guarded? What was the
ambassador doing there with such a light security detail?When reporters
made similar, reasonable inquiries, Obama's campaign and administration
dismissed such questions as biased, saying the few members of the press
who pressed the subject were just doing Romney's handiwork.This allowed
Obama to hold the line and prevent greater anxiety or anger in
the electorate. The attack was spontaneous and partly the fault of American
religious radicals, so please stop politicizing this tragedy.But then it
was revealed that there was no riot, spontaneous or otherwise. It had

from the diplomatic team in Libya that trouble was brewing. And while
Obama claimed that Al Qaeda was in tatters, the group seemed to
