The 2013 'Crusaders' uniform, seen here in the men's baseball version, will
be the last year in use at Maranatha Baptist University in Wisconsin.
(MBBC.edu)A Christian college in Wisconsin is dropping its Crusaders nickname
after nearly 50 years, claiming the moniker has become outdated in a
more global society, university officials told FoxNews.com.Maranatha Baptist
University in Watertown and its Division III athletic teams have used the
name since its founding in 1968. Matt Davis, the universitys executive vice
president, said no complaints have been received by the school and stressed
that it coincides with its name change from Maranatha Baptist College in
December. But I also agree that times change and we understand that context
changes, Davis told FoxNews.com. Our world has changed since 9/11 and weve
become a more global society with the Internet. The heartbeat behind this
was not political correctness, but expanded opportunities for our students.-
Matt Davis, executive vice president, Maranatha Baptist UniversitySelecting
the universitys next mascot will be a collaborative effort, Davis said,
and the new name will be revealed during the spring semester. Uniforms
will reflect the change beginning in the fall. Hundreds of potential replacements
have already been submitted by students, alumni and university stakeholders. Were
having a blast with the process, said Davis, who declined to provide
any early favorites. Its a fun process, b

Xanax to relieve those feelings is beneficial. But it doesn't address whatever
was causing their stress to begin with."Still, the fact is that some
doctorswho more than anyone should be aware of the risksare doling out
Xanax in irresponsible and harmful ways. Though Xanax's prescribing information
has long included clear wording about potential dangers and warnings against
overprescribing, and medical organizations such as the American Psychiatric
Association echo these in their guidelines, some doctors aren't paying attention.Benzos
are now so mainstream that "psychiatric issues are sometimes being treated
by primary-care physicians, who may not have enough training in or understanding
of these drugs," Gitlow said.More than half of all benzo prescriptions are
written by primary-care physicians, not psychiatrists, according to one
study published in the journal Psychiatry."Doctors who don't understand
these drugs often up the dosageto treat symptoms that the drug itself
may be causing," he added. The lack of awareness is complicated by the
fact that many patients self-diagnose and ask for the drugs by name."It's
not that there are a lot of doctors just saying, 'Oh, I'll
hand this stuff out like gummi bears,'" Gitlow said. "But people are
in distress, and they want an instant cureso it's hard for some

RAMALLAH, West Bank Palestinian activists are protesting to stake a claim
to a part of the West Bank whose final status is in
dispute in U.S.-mediated peace talks with Israel.Hundreds of protesters
went Friday to the site of Ein Hiljeh, a Palestinian village in
the Jordan Valley abandoned after Israel captured the land from Jordan in
the 1967 Mideast war. Activists claim the residents were forced to leave.Israel
and the Palestinians have been squabbling over the fate of the strategic
Jordan Valley. Israel wants to retain a security presence there even after
a peace deal is reached, citing security concerns. Palestinians reject any
Israeli presence there.Activists said the Israeli military set up barriers
to stop more activists joining. The military said they are investigating
the report.
