The U.S. has identified the mastermind of the Benghazi attack, sources tell
Fox News, though the individual apparently is walking free in Libya. The
confirmation from multiple sources comes more than seven months after the
assault on two U.S. locations in Benghazi, Libya, where four Americans --
including Ambassador Chris Stevens -- were killed. President Obama pledged
after the attack that "justice will be done."But one source told Fox
News the government is "sitting on" information."We basically don't want
to upset anybody, and the problem is, if Ambassador Stevens' family knew
that we were sitting on information about the people who killed their
son, their brother, on and on, then, and we could look them
as a government in the face, then we're messing up. We're messing
up," the source said.Fox News spoke exclusively with one special operator
who watched the events unfold in real time and has debriefed those
who were part of the response. He remains anonymous for his safety
and has decided to talk because he says he and others connected
with the Sept. 11, 2012, attacks in Benghazi are frustrated with the
excuses and lack of a military response since Stevens and three other
Americans were killed."We have all the capability, all the training, all
the capacity, to kill and capture not only terrorists involved, with the
specific events of 9/11, and Ambassador Stevens' death, but terrorists that
are feeding other regions including Europe th
nd his allies insisted that the momentum in
the civil war is now in their favor and that the world's
reluctance to intervene in the conflict is more evidence that the Assad
regime is regaining its hold on the country.Obama signaled Tuesday he would
consider U.S. military action against Syria if "hard, effective evidence"
is found to bolster intelligence that chemical weapons have been used in
the civil war. Damascus has denied it has used chemical weapons, saying
the Syrian rebels are trying to frame the regime. The U.S. has provided
humanitarian aid to the Syrians and helped bolster the defenses along the
borders in neighboring Turkey and Jordan, but has preferred to let other
nations send in more lethal assistance.A key obstacle in the debate over
providing weapons has been U.S. concerns that any U.S. weapons would end
up in the hands of Al Qaeda-linked groups helping the Syrian opposition
or any of the other extremist groups in the region, such as
Lebanon-based Hezbollah.Last month, the head of the extremist Jabhat al-Nusra
group, one of the most powerful and effective rebel groups in Syria,
pledged allegiance to Al Qaeda leader Ayman al-Zawahiri. U.S. officials
say that since then they have seen anecdotal evidence and intelligence assessments
that suggest that al-Nusra's gains within Syria have slowed, both because
of the group's public links to Al Qaeda and the U.S. designation
of al-Nusra as a terrorist organization. Other oppositi

<p style="font-size:xx-small;"> The passenger in the rear
seat, James Coston, then fired multiple shots before he was killed by
trooper James Harper. As Harper sought cover, Chesimard stepped out of the
car and continuously fired at both him and Foerster, who was engaged
in hand-to-hand combat with Clark Squire, the driver.Foerster was shot in
the abdomen and right arm. According to police accounts, Chesimard picked
up Foerster's gun and put two bullets in his head, execution-style, as
he lay along the side of the turnpike. Authorities say her jammed
handgun was found next to Foerster's body.Chesimard, Coston and Squire fled
and abandoned their car 5 miles down the road. It didn't take
long for police to locate the car and Coston, who was found
dead near the vehicle. A half-hour after the shooting, state police arrested
Chesimard. Squire was arrested a mile from the car about 40 hours
after the incident.Chesimard denied that she shot at anyone and claimed
that the militant and cop-killer labels made her a target. But four
years later, she was convicted of first-degree murder, assault and battery
of a police officer, assault with a dangerous weapon, assault with intent
to kill, illegal possession of a weapon and armed robbery. On Nov. 2,
1979, Chesimard escaped from prison in New Jersey. Police believe a group
of black and white domestic terrorists approached Chesimard while at a maximum
security prison in West Virginia, but waited until she was transferred to

FRANKFURT, Germany The European Central Bank and its president, Mario Draghi,
have played a key role in fighting the government debt crisis afflicting
the 17 European Union member countries that use the euro. The ECB is
the issuer of the euro currency and serves as the top monetary
authority for the eurozone and its 333 million people. Some of its key
steps have been:LOWER INTEREST RATES: The ECB has cut its key interest
rate four times since Draghi become president. This month the ECB lowered
the so-called main refinancing rate further by a quarter-point to a record
low of 0.5 percent. The refinancing rate is what the bank charges on
the credit it offers to eurozone banks and thereby influences interest rates
on the loans banks provide to each other, businesses and consumers. Theoretically,
a lower rate means cheaper borrowing costs and more incentive to borrow
money and expand a business. In practice, a slack economy has meant
weak demand for loans.UNLIMITED BOND BUYS: In 2012, high borrowing costs
were threatening to push indebted countries such as Italy and Spain into
a financial collapse that could have broken up the euro.Draghi took a
major step toward calming the eurozone crisis by announcing last year that
"within our mandate, the ECB is ready to do whatever it takes
to preserve the euro."The ECB followed through on Sept. 6 by offering
to purchase unlimited amounts of bonds issued by heavily indebted countries,
lowering their bor
