Since the topic was brought up I thought I'd mention that I'd heard some
talk about setting up a MIT rape hotline. So if folks are interested in
perhaps that or something like it they might consider lobbying their
favorite admin.
Also a quick call to Nightline (def-tuv-tuv-oper-oper) revealed the
existence of a good area hotline whose existence should really be better known:

I hope that this information won't have to be used. But I also hope that
if it needs to be used, it is used.
As to why folks aren't just encouraged to call the CPs.... well the
operator may not have had sensitivity as their primary job
description. And some folks might not feel comfortable calling the
authorities right away.
