No, he actually lived there. As I recall, it was reported as some
kind of "big brother/little brother" event, and then as an initiation,
so it's hard to tell what it really was. (It's hard even to tell
whether it was actually hazing or was voluntary, though there are
other issues, like DON'T LEAVE THE DRUNK PERSON ALONE ON HIS BACK.)
As for the sheep, well, wouldn't ewe like to know.
