Wally,
While I can appreciate the frustration you have voiced in your
less-than-flattering critique of the Rush2002 recruitment website, I
question the effectiveness of your email in bringing about the changes
necessary to alleviate this frustration. Recruitment this year has been
and still is a huge undertaking, and many FSILG members have already
volunteered their time, effort, and expertise to do what they can to ensure
a successful rush. Believe it or not, there is still plenty of time and
many opportunities to help out the cause and, at the same time, have your
voice heard. If you're interested in improving the website so that it can
better serve all the students it represents, email the webmaster some of
your ideas. If you're interested in helping out with some other part of
recruitment whether it be with events during orientation, publicity efforts
prior to rush, or the official recruitment period itself, talk to your rush
chair or feel free to contact me personally. In a recruitment year as
critical to our system as this one, we need to cut back on the antagonizing
emails and spend more time coming up with creative solutions to help us all
transition successfully.

Good luck to all of you in your recruitment efforts this year.

Regards,
Josh Yardley
IFC Recruitment Chair
