Subject: outside bank accounts
I don't know if you all have heard, but apparently Alan Buffert
(MIT's treasurer) has decided that all student groups' outside
bank accounts must be closed, starting July 1. Of course, there
will be fierce resistance, from student government, LSC, APO, and
The Tech.
If this goes through, it's clearly bad for us. We should figure
out what to do about it if it happens, and also if there's
anything we can do to stop it.
