Morning everyone,
If you're not aware of this already, there is a new computer worm
making its rounds this morning through MS Address Book and Outlook
Express. The email body reads:
"Hello! My party...It was absolutely amazing! I have attached my web
page with new photos! If you can please make color prints of my photos.
Thanks!"
followed by an attached executable that propogates the worm. If
you're in the habit of running such anonymous attachments on a whim,
consider yourself warned. The worm has already hit many listservs
at MIT. Presently, it is speculated to be non-destructive but rapidly
replicating and thus a general nuisance to you and to people in your
addressbooks. McAfee et. al. are already working on a solution; if
you haven't already done so, don't run the attachment but rather
delete the entire email message.
