Yes, a bboard system like discuss:coatrack really inhibits expression. What
you can do to get around this is to create a set of mail discussion groups
that are only partially interlocking, so that for that most people you would
talk about there is an appropriate list. I know of several couples who have
done this with various bandykin spinoffs.
You know, I've been thinking I ought to create a list, who's membership
is limited to the set of people who want to and can stand my occasional
flaming.... :-)
