not to make Dave's life any harder, but...
of the three problems I found with one of the many perl scripts he had
to make work under NT, one of them was ``you can't assume the existance
of `pwd' on a standard system''. :-/
also, Dave probably hasn't read these bug reports yet, but he's about
to have to deal with a whole slew of problems resulting from the fact
that exec() under NT perl doesn't preserve changes to $ENV like it
does under UNIX. :-/
Oh, and I installed NT 4.0 workstation on a poor, innocent laptop a
couple days ago. It looks a heck of a lot more like `95' than
`fixed'.
