Just to get off on a more cheerful topic...
I just found out that my fourth grade math teacher died. She was 48 years old.
This makes 1 math teacher, 2 latin teachers, and a guidance counselor who have
died since I had them. (one of the latin teachers died while I was still in
high school; the other, who replaced him, died 3 years ago. The guidance
counselor died while I was in high school (and he was my counselor.)) All
of these people were under 55; two were under 50.
Two of the deaths were to cancer; the other two were really *bizarre*.
