I started to read my NYT this morning, and saw an article about a
building that collapsed on W 31 St. Kept on reading and started
to realize that it sounded like a building I used to be in a lot.
(There was a computer store in there that moved out a few years
ago.) I turned to page B4 for the rest of the article, and my
heart stopped. There was a picture of the building, the same one
that used to give me the willies. It turns out that they were
doing unlicesnsed construction and the foundation collapsed.
Not a pleasant thing to meet over breakfast.
