2.86

I was going to be taking 2.86 this term, a nice 9 unit lab class
required for course 2 that was interesting, not a really heinous
workload, fit into my schedule just fine, etc. Then I showed up to
the first day of class and half the juniors registered for it,
including me, got lotteried out.

So now the only other class that meets any course 2 requirements and
sort of fits in my schedule that I can take instead is 2.14..I've now
missed the first lecture, since it was this morning from 10-11:30 and
I didn't get lotteried out of 2.86 until about 11:45. So I'll already
feel lost and confused when I show up to the next lecture, and I have
to deal with lots of annoying paperwork, and it's a 12 unit class
that's much more difficult and that I'm not at all sure I can handle
taking this term on top of the rest of my classes.

argh. why can't they have enough room in a required class for all the
people who need to take it?
