That always happens every time one revisits an old place. Give it time. maybe
you'll feel a little strange the first days, but then you'll start enjoying
it (if you are in good terms with your parents. It sounds like you are,
fortunately). Visit the old neighborhood, try your childhood treats.
Concerning the murder rate, just think you're visiting Miami. It could be worse.
Take for example, Mexico City. There, you are CERTAIN to have your health
diminished; you need not look for a bullet. (Sigh... I'm starting to think
about home. Better stop now. :-)
