Well, it looks like we're going to be ok, thanks to my mom discovering
that she had some connections. (It's a long story; the short version
is that the woman who runs the photography studio we're using thinks
very highly of my mom, who was the photographer's daughters' first
nursery-school teacher.... and the photographer is good friends with
the vice president of one of the places we had considered but eliminated
because they were too expensive... and the room we had wanted was still
available for the time slot we had wanted... it's all worked out
very well, actually, kein ayin hara.... ptui!)
