A few years ago, a person I know had two weeks left in the term in
which she needed to finish her thesis, travel to a conference in Ohio
to give a technical presentation about her thesis, do a final project
and take a final exam in a course 6 class, and go to a wedding.
A number of people, including me, told her she probably couldn't get
all that finished on time, and should give up on one or two of them.
But it turned out, two weeks later, she had everything done/turned in
(well, to be picky, she didn't really "do" or "turn in" the wedding).
Since then, I've given up on advising that people can't do things :-)
