grrr.... someone asked me why their logic probe for 6.004 wasn't working;
i figured there was a power-to-ground short and sure enough, they were
shorted together. Then we were trying to figure out where it was,
and I spotted a diode in backwards (from power to ground) but that
thought entered my mind *after* I moved to touch the diode, which
gave me a rather nasty burn on my finger.... :(
