Florida is closer than Hawaii..... and it's got really nice weather at this time of year too :-(..... when I was down there during Christmas, it wasn't very humid at all, in the 60s-70s, and reasonable shorts weather during the day (a bit chilly at night). And it was green. sigh. I wouldn't want to live there during the summer, but it sure beats winters here. So does NM.
