I can't stand it any more...

I've given much thought to marriage and religion on and off over the
years. Being Jewish, I rationally arrived at the conclusion that it
would be easier to marry a Jewish woman. It makes things easier,
especially when it comes to children. Now that I've trivialized the
whole matter, I can also say that I've never dated a Jewish woman.
I've date women that I was attracted to who didn't happen to be
Jewish.  I don't dislike Jewish women as a group or otherwise;
it's just happened that way.

I obviously don't feel the same way as others here vis the religion
issue and I don't mind saying that. I have never embraced ANYTHING
the same way some of my friends have embraced their faith. But I
accept their faith as something very important to them. I like them
and it doesn't affect my liking them that they believe differently
than I do. They don't try to force their faith on me either. They
accept me.

The real issue here is accepting someone the way they are and
respecting their beliefs. Not wanting to marry outside one's faith
isn't the same as saying others can't do that. It's not bigotry but
rather the desire to share something very deep in one's soul.
