Rhu is referring to a long-running thread on soc.culture.jewish,
in which various people are claiming that there are "codes" in
the Hebrew text of Genesis that "predict" significant events in
Jewish history.
The propounders of this theory have been claiming that their proof
will appear in a Major Peer-Reviewed Publication Real Soon Now for
the past three years, and are extremely reluctant to give out preprints
to skeptics, which is more than enough to set off my bogometer.
