M.Eng. funding

Everytime I turn the corner metaphorically speaking, it seems that the
EECS department's planning for funding the approx. 200 M.Eng. students
who used to be class of 1994 weren't terribly well-thought out from the
viewpoint of the student that actually wants an M.Eng. degree rather
than a Ph.D. degree. Sigh.

Really, I would *LOVE* to take out a $25,000 loan for one more year of
school. It's exactly what I want to do. NOT! But I may not have much of
a choice, even though I'm going to try and flail my arms in all the
possible directions.

(Ironically, I was just reading the USA Today's Bonus section which was
talking about how this is an amazingly good time to take out loans,
which relatively speaking is true, but only relatively speaking.)
