Grumph.
This is really annoying.
I don't like being utterly frustrated by a programming problem set. I'm
supposed to be able to program! Hell, I *can* program, I just can't follow
their stupid implementation of linear algebra, and furthermore don't want
to.
And I'm being frustrated enough by this that I don't want to do anything
else, including write, which I also like and am competent at.
And I don't want to just punt the problem set, because this was the course
I should definitely be able to get an A in this term.
Back in high school I noticed that taking a course in something I liked
tended to damp my interest in the subject for quite some time after the
course ended. I really hoped that wouldn't happen here.
