Well, it's not quite as simple as that. See, Mom would understand, but
the fact that my Grandmother is coming out is very unusual, for the following
reason. Mom was going to cancel the trip because both she and I were too
busy for it (she was planning on driving out from Michigan instead of flying).
When she told Grandmom that she didn't have the time to drive, Grandmother
said, "We'll fly, then". This is very unusual because my Grandmother NEVER
flies. She has never flown ever since I've known her. The fact that she's
willing to fly out here means she wants to get out to see me really badly, badly
enough to do something she hates to get here. I don't know why. It
could be that she's afraid she's going to die soon (she's been sick recently.)
So you see, I have to go out to Lowell whether or not it means I flunk something
(or just have a nervous breakdown), because it obviously means so much to her.
I hate these sorts of situations :-(
