....but the good news is that one of the TA's helped me find the
bug: the CC register was defective, and when I replaced it with
a new chip, it worked. odd, though... a bunch of tests which
relied heavily on the CC register worked fine, but when i went
to actually run programs on the MAYBE, about 1/2 the instruction
set was screwed & it complained about illegal instructions.
a good analogy would be if you had a car that worked fine, except
that the engine stalled whenever you were going between 55 and 60 miles
an hour, turning sharply to the right, and the windshield wipers
were on.
