on my acquaintances that i haven't seen in ages. but when one of them, who
is really bright, sends me email from where she's at college, telling me
she's dropping out and going to move in with her boyfriend and have kids,
and that she wants me to be happy about the fact that she's given up on
all she claimed to be interested in, just so she can be with someone who's
8 years older than she is (she's 19), i can't deal successfully. this is
the first person i ever asked out, 4-1/2 years ago....
the only consolation is that i also got snail mail from another really good
friend of mine from high school telling me that he's just angsting, and
having fun at the university of michigan. it's nice because that just was
exactly what i expected from him. :-)
feehh. *sigh*
