This isn't the flu, this is biological warfare!

Friday, Feb. 19
Seem to have come down with a slight cold. Ugh.

Saturday
Woke up with some variant of the Assassin's Plague: severe pain
*everywhere*, sinus headache, head cold. Stayed in bed until late
evening, when it seemed to alleviate; came to campus for a few hours
and then realized this was a mistake; logged out (for the last time
until now) just after midnight and went home.

Sunday
Pain everywhere: joints, muscles, bones, lungs, head, throat, this
entire body feels like exploding.

Monday
Fever. No, make that F*CKING FEVER!!! About 105 for several hours.
I drink a half gallon of orange juice and about as much tea.

Tuesday
Dehydrated. I drink another half gallon of orange juice, several
pints of peppermint tea, and eat vitamin pills like candy. Still
feverish. Also head cold now: sinuses exploding, runny nose,
gobs and gobs of mucus. My excellent housemate makes chicken soup.
(She had the plague 3 weeks ago. Eit.)

Wednesday
Coughing. ***COUGHING*** Non-stop, continual, extremely painful
coughing.

Thursday
Lungs die. They just hurt too much from the coughing. Everything
hurts. I hear on the radio, "It's flu season again...the type A flu
is aflicting the entire country and can cause severe illness....chicken
coup is a good old-fashioned remedy." Yeah, so I've noticed. The
chicken soup runs out.

Friday
I've been in bed all week, housemate is sick again and her mother
is coming this evening. Starting to feel slightly better. Or at
least at a stalemate. Every system in my body has been through hell.
And I've lost 10 pounds. So I come to campus to login.... Maybe I'll
be back to normal in another week or so.

Bleah.
