Well, my mother, a christian, suggested half in jest, and half in recognition that the date is arbitrary, pagan, and incorrect, suggested last year that it be made a Monday holiday. If it truely is a religion-independent event worthy of federal recognition in spite of the first amendment, that should be reasonable.
