I spent 2 hours riding the 450 bus from Lynn to MIT today, a trip which
usually takes half that time. When we came to one drawbridge, we saw
several cars backing up and turning around: apparently, just a few minutes
before, the bridge raised without warning and one car crashed into the
suddenly vertical section. Two ambulances arrived before the bus managed
to turn around, but I've no idea on how the car's occupants are.
After detouring around another bridge under construction, we were delayed
again by an overturned car. Continuing, we passed by two more accidents,
one involving a motorcycle hit by a pickup truck.
I stopped driving a few months ago. Now I'm sure I'll never start again.
