I agree with kkkken, there has been a lot of flaming about the trail, and what
I understand is there was reasonable doubt.  

1) The tapes don't show what if any procation there was to cause the police
reaction.

2) Cops are human, If they feel threatened, they will react, for example, 
the case in Boston last Year where Hector Morales pulled out a shotgun and
opened fire on two cops (injuring them both).  The Boston Police Chief was
quoted in saying that "Morales signed his death warrant when he opend fire on
the two officers." I also know of one cop who beat the sh*t out of someone
who, during a small riot, attacked an EMT who was in an ambulance that got
trapped in the middle.

3)  A riot to protest violent beatings a a *really* bogus thought

...and of course, standard disclaimer, it makes no difference to me who the
cops were beating (I am *not* racist) , If the person did something that
provoked it, it was not police brutality, and if there was evidence that there
was reasonable doubt that the police were guilty, then they should be
acquited.
