They clearly have no respect for you. I don't see why you should have
any for them. With my parents, at least I know that all the stupid
things they do are out of love, not out of malice. Given what you
just said, I'm not sure if that's true of your parents.
Of course, nothing is that simple. If you're going to cut them off
(seems like they'd be happier that way), make sure the Dean's office
knows the situation, so you can get finaid and remain here.
