Re: Yet more male/female courtship stuff, but at least it's more depressing than the weather.

One thing which is really really important: don't go actively looking for SO's.
Don't think "Hm, could this possibly be my future girlfriend?" every time
you meet a girl. It will not work, and no matter how well you think you are
hiding your "searching for a girlfriend" feelings, other people will notice
it. And it can get real uncomfortable (I've been on both sides).

It _is_ (none of that nerdy \TeX shit in {\em my} postings) depressing to lie
in bed and think "Wow, if I had a girlfriend right now, all my problems would
be solved."  So don't.  Waiting for a girlfriend to appear is a bad move;
she never will. It is a cliche that you will fall in love when you least
expect it, but it's true. So just take it easy. When/if you do find someone,
you will be pleasantly surprised.

And besides, the freshmen show up tomorrow! Lots of fresh meat! (No no no no
I didn't say that I don't know what came over me...)
