I would think that this would be an appropriate place to bring up some
of those topics, if you feel they are depressing. Now, for some people,
the death of certain family members might qualify as a `Cheery Thought,'
but posting to `ping' about it would nevertheless be ill-advised, since
not everyone would be inclined to look at it that way.
I guess one could start a discuss meeting for the discussion of death
specifically, given sufficient interest.
