This afternoon, I just turned in my 6.111 lab report. I got my
project checked off yesterday, for partial credit. As far as I could
tell, everything was operative, but one of my two partners (the output
system) was not and my project could not be demoed effectively.
Since Thanksgiving, I have done almost nothing but 6.111. Day and
night I have spent wiring, debugging, programming, debugging, wiring
again, programming, debuggin, programmig, debugging, debugging,
debugging. I've done no other classwork, probably failed a test in
one class that I didn't study for, asked yesterday (and received) in
incomplete in another class. And I'm only taking three classes.
I literally can remember doing nothing in the last week and a half
that wasn't related to this course (besides seeing a movie last week).
I don't think I've ever worked this intently in my life.
And at the end, instead of an amazingly cool video project, it came
down to showing a TA numbers on a logic analyzer trying to convince
him that my project worked.
sigh.
