The Campus Police handle intervention very effectively (I have called
them in such a situation.) That's not the situation at hand, though.
The MIT Med Dept. doesn't really seem to handle *anything*
effectively - I've heard such a vast collection of stories about them
(though I've only needed their help on rare instances.) I have heard
good things about the MIT Deans, when dealing with some of the strange
situations that come up around MIT...
