Re: my wrists hurt

Use the wrist rest to train you, not as a total support. I never kept my
wrists up, and worse, I had my keyboard at an angle. I have a rest now, but I
try to keep 'em up even higher, and only use the rest when I'm tired, or doing
stuff like hitting Space repetitively thru discuss or something. This might
depend on your chair/keyboard height. Also, keep your wrists up when using
the mouse. I have my wrist rest positioned so it supports me at the mouse,
too, and I moved the mouse to the left side where the pure awkwardness of
using a 3-button mouse with my left hand keeps me alert to using it properly.
Take frequent breaks when typing, too. (Like every 15 minutes.)
See a doctor, and you may want to get a wrist brace.
