around here, at least, is so mindnumbingly broken that it's painful
to contemplate.
At the very least, you'd think that someone could install *AN* X library,
rather than the four or five copies of everything in randomly
assigned directories, all of which are some permutation of X, 11, R2, etc.
God only knows where the proper include files. I've got a one page X program
(a good trick under any circumstances) that runs slower than ico, using
exactly the same calls. Arrrgggg!!! And uwm has this habit of letting
my programs complete before it's gotten around to putting the window
on the screen. And silly me, I thought SunCGI was slow. Kind of makes
you want to slam your forehead into the table.
