are the ones who should be silenced, but it is usually the voices
themselves that are silenced by continually falling on deaf ears. Do
not try to silence those who complain about the Institute, for they will
be the ones who will start the wheels of change in motion.
On the subject of giving money, this is a personal decision that each
individual must make. People who don't (or appear not to) respect my
decision not to give MIT money now tend to make me less willing, rather
than more willing to reconsider my decision. If I give MIT (or any
other organization) money, it will be because I *want* to (and can
afford to), rather than because I feel pressured into doing so. It will
also be anonymously and without strings attached.
