Back to reality :-), MIT really could use 2 C courses -- one for the engineers and one for the nerds. My impression is that 1.00 is caught between the people taking the class because they have to in order to graduate and the nerds who want to learn C and get an easy A, resulting in a level and pace that is unsatisfactory to both.
