message was that out-of-line (although I agree "eve" would have been
a better place for it, I don't think it was totally inappropriate
for coatrack); and there are certainly some among us who have posted
the same event to ping and coatrack before.

Hi. I'm the chairman of the Depressing_Thoughts meeting, and I
wanted to tell you that you are still welcome to be a part of our
``discussions.'' Everyone commits a few faux pas when they're new
to discuss; it's part of the rite of passage, I guess.
Please allow me to encourage you to continue reading and posting to
coatrack and ping, and to also join some of the other groups.
