I wouldn't sweat it. There's a flow to every meeting, usually centered
around some group of people. Some people take offense to different
trends, others see it as a refreshing change and naturally everyone is
supposed to know which one of a few hundred discuss meetings a certain
kind of transaction belongs. There's no pleasing everyone.
Transactions like ken's provide those helpful hints to help us get
things straight. It sounds like the mail you received wasn't so
constructive and that's unfortunate.
