(Well, this is more of a frustrating thought...)
I've spent almost 8 hours so far trying to puzzle out my taxes. Filing
just federal is bad enough (especially when almost all of my income was
from self-employment), but filing _both_ MA and CA forms is horrible.
The CA form is the most complicated state form I've ever seen, and of course
MA raised their taxes this year. And if you don't go to a lot of extra
effort, both states tax your full amount of interest and investment income.
Arggghhhh!!!
(It doesn't help that the amount of taxes I owe is pretty close to the
amount of bank savings I currently have, and the income of a grad student
is negligible.)
